TMLHA's favorite things to do is to teach youngsters the old-time sailor's traditional skills in our School of the Sailor program. Below are some pictures of one of our Schools of the Sailor, this one at the Mariner's Museum.

"First, the name's Boats, just Boats, got it?" "Aye aye, Sir!" "Grrr..."

"O.K.,Now for 'In place rest' look mean and scowl a lot..."

"Are you married or single?... Any children?... Do you chew tobacco?"

"I'm Petty Officer Johnson; How do you like me so far?"

"...Remember, enlisted men are shifty and sly, and bear constant watching..."

"Alright, who needs a head break now?"

"Aww, cmon, Tangela!" "No, Allen, no flogging... yet."

"Hmmm... Why are we going through so much stew?"

Meanwhile, over at the Galley tent...

"If I stay down here, they won't see me get more of this stew."

Attack right... now attack left!"
